A: Montana DataSure, LLC supports both incremental and differential backups on all supported operating system platforms. This allows for shorter backup times and the use of less band width by only backing up files that were modified or created after the previous backup.

A: Montana DataSure, LLC uses two layers of encryption (128 bits each). The first encrypts data during transmission. The second encrypts your data while in storage. Data may only be un-encrypted with an encryption key that you alone possess.

Q: Does your software make my computer(s) run slow?

A: The Montana DataSure Backup Manager, like other software uses computer resources. Because of this, you may choose an off-peak time to backup up your data.

Q: If I have more than one computer to backup, do I need to install your software on each machine?

A: Although you can choose to backup a network of computers this way, it is not necessary. As long as each computer is visible to the host machine (the computer which has the Montana DataSure Backup Manager installed), all desired data may be backed up from the host computer location.

Q: Am I charged a license fee for each computer in which I install Montana DataSure?

A: No. The Montana DataSure backup manager may be installed on as many computers as necessary. Cost is dependent on the amount of storage space used per account.

Q: What happens if my connection to the Internet goes down in the middle of backup?

A: The Montana DataSure Backup Manager has an error-correcting algorithm which allows your backup to continue at the point of interruption after connectivity resumes. Even if a backup is stopped in the middle of a file, that file is re-saved in its entirety when the backup process resumes.
